Parents who are sick and tired of wondering what their rambunctious teens might be up to can use a new method to track them down; it's called the "Ignore No More" app.
The idea was created by Texas mother Sharon Standifird who was tired of her children not responding to her calls when they were out.
The new app works by shutting down available activities on the child's phone when the parent sees fit. For instance, while there is still the ability to call 911, he or she will no longer be able to call friends or play games. Furthermore, a visit to mom or dad will be in order to unlock the device.
"When you lock your child's phone with Ignore No More your child has only two options - he or she can call you back, or call for an emergency responder," Standifird said, via the News Ledge. "No calls to friends, no text, no games, notta' until they call you back. When they do, you can unlock their phone if you choose to do so. How's that for parental control?"
While this is the first mobile app to actually lock-up children's phones, there are other parental apps that some family's might want to check out.
Based on Tom's Guide: Tech for Real Life, the Top 10 parental Apps for 2014 also included My Mobile Watchdog, which allows users to monitor text messages, phone calls and even block certain users from their child's phone, Screen Time Parental Control, which helps parents monitor how much time their child spends on certain apps and a host of other interesting and useful apps.
