Nerd Herd: Northeast Comic Con is Small, But Fun (PICTURES)

This week, Northeast Comic Con-a convention for all things geek-was in full swing. Guests such as Adam West and Gigi Edgley appeared for panels and to generally tour the con. But what really made the show was the con-goers themselves.
As far as cons go, Northeast Comic Con was a relatively small one. A man dressed as Jack Sparrow taught children how to spar with foam swords, a massive shark head styled after Jaws sat in the main convention hall, and vendors that sold everything from comics to figurines to hip flasks were spaced throughout the con.
What really brought life to the con wasn't the vendors or the celebrities, though, it was the people gathered there. There was a general air of excitement as people toured through the halls and listened to panels. Several wore cosplay costumes of their favorite comic book characters and we managed to capture some of the excitement on camera.
