Amazon announced Wednesday that users can now use 3D printing for customization with a number of their favorite video game characters. Over 30 customizable characters are now available, each capable of carrying armor, bases and/or weapons.
This customization is available thanks to Sandboxr, a Salt Lake City, Utah-based printing company, that will produce the customized figurines, including over 35 characters from Smite to Primal and Carnage to Infinity Blade, according to The Street.
Sandboxr's tool allows users to interact with a 360-degree model of the action figure, according to TNW News. From there, users can customize everything from their character's stance to the weapon he, she or it is holding.
"There is a lot of passion and excitement in the culture of gaming, as well as 3D printing, and by combining these two worlds and allowing customers to design and personalize their favorite video game characters we can bring enthusiasts even closer to the games they love," said Steve Johnson, director for the Amazon Marketplace, in a statement.
Prices for the figurines will start at $29.99 for smaller models, running up to $89.99 for larger ones.
