Twenty-two-year-old Maribel Valencia gave birth to twins that were just minutes apart but also born in different years.
The California mom gave birth to Jaelyn Valencia at 11:59 p.m. on New Year's Eve, according to the Associated Press. Then, just two minutes later, twin-brother Luis Valencia Jr., arrived on New Year's Day.
Though the babies were due at the end of January, according to KGTV-TV, doctors at San Diego Kaiser Permanente Zio Medical Center called the mother in because because one was in a breech position.
"It's pretty much the best of both worlds," father Luis Valencia, said via Fox News. "So that means two birthday parties back-to-back."
Jaelyn weighs four pounds, 15 ounces with Luis weighing in at five pounds, nine ounces.
