Samsung is nearing the finish line as far as finally unveiling its Samsung Galaxy Note 5 successor. Though rumors are still governing the features it carries, there is interest as well on what its official name will be.
Following the usual sequence, the next phablet should be known as the Samsung Galaxy Note 6. But in what many believe to be a move to level that release order and place the next phablet aligned with its other flagships (i.e. Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge), Samsung is reportedly planning to jump over a number to set records straight.
With that in mind, the belief is that the next flagship will be known as the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 and a new leak photo from China strengthens the belief of that happening. Like most image leaks, this remains up in arms and carries a lot of questions that needs confirmation.
The jump, if true, is understandable. With the Samsung Galaxy S7 already out in the open, releasing a Samsung Galaxy Note 6 does offer a notion of the device being a bit outdated. Aside from that, the number ‘7’ of course carry that ‘lucky’ notion, depending on how serious people are about superstitions.
While the name of the next Samsung Galaxy Note is still up for debate, the focus of consumers is really more on what the actual phone will bring. That means the features are still what is important and like the alleged “Samsung Galaxy Note 7” name, rumors are the only basis for now.
Among the potential features the Samsung Galaxy Note 6 or 7 will bring include a dual-curved edge design that many may picture from the previously released Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge.
Aside from that, the specs that the Samsung Galaxy Note 6/7 may carry include a phablet that will run on a Quaclomm Snapdragon 820 chipset, backed by 6 GB of RAM and something armed with a larger 4,000 mAh battery.
Another distinct feature is the S Pen stylus which will allegedly offer something new with the aid of the S Note app. The app will aid the Stylus in taking quick notes and the possible feature of having a recycle bin where trashed notes will be stored temporarily and retrieved when needed.
