The next installment of Rockstar Games' popular video game "Grand Theft Auto", possibly dubbed "Grand Theft Auto 6," is rumored to get a 2018 release date.
Rockstar Games' have maintained a five-year-gap trend between its GTA releases. While "GTA 4" was released in 2008, the "GTA 5" game was launched in 2013. If the gaming studio follows the same trend, fans can expect the highly anticipated "GTA 6" to get released in 2018, which is five years after 2013, according to GameNGuide.
However, there are even reports which claim that game developer Rockstar Games might unveil "GTA 6" at the upcoming Electronic Entertainment Expo or E3 2016. The event is set to happen this month at the Los Angeles Convention Center. Rumor has it that the gaming studio may provide details with regard to the development of the upcoming title.
Spoilers suggest "GTA 6" will be quite bigger than the prequels. If reports are to be believed, Rockstar has not yet decided a location for the next installment.
It is speculated that the upcoming "Grand Theft Auto" installment could return to San Fierro and Las Venturas in order to complete the San Andreas territories not found in Grand Theft Auto V.
There is also a possibility that GTA 6 will return to the Miami-esque city, Vice City. Former Rockstar president Leslie Benzies had previously said that "It is always a possibility. There are a few references to the city in our current-gen GTAs so it is part of that HD universe, and is certainly somewhere we would love to visit. However Vice City, perhaps more than any other GTA game, was as much about the era as the setting. Miami in the 1980's is so iconic it would feel strange to revisit the city in a different time period."
In the past, the gaming studio had also revealed that they would like to create a GTA game with all previous cities from the series.
"Of course, at some point we would like to have one big world containing all our cities and let the player fly between them and revisit their favorite areas," Benzies said.
We would advise our readers to take 'Grand Auto Theft 6' spoilers and release date rumors with a grain of salt as nothing yet has been officially confirmed by Rockstar games.
