Rumor mills have it that developer 343 Industries might announce the next installment of the popular "Halo" franchise, dubbed "Halo 6", during the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) 2016 event which is set to take place from June 14 to June 16.
There are even reports which claim "Halo 6" will be the first title to be made available for both the Xbox One and PC platform. The last three installments of the franchise were made exclusive for Xbox consoles.
However, according to Christian Today, "Halo 6" release is far from reality. The report claims that Frank O'Connor, the development director for the franchise, has confirmed that there are still no definite features for the next game to offer just yet. He added that the developer team is still in the planning and writing stage right now, so it is almost next to impossible that the game will get a 2016 release.
Meanwhile, what is already confirmed is that the newest expansion of "Halo 5", tilted "Warzone Firefight" will be launched by the end of June 2016.
According to the developers' blog post, the team involved in this game's development are hard at work in finishing up and polishing the features of the upcoming expansion. The developers also assured players that there will be "new places" to see as well as "new tools of destruction" for them to use in the upcoming "Halo 5: Guardians Warzone Firefight" DLC.
The DLC, which will be the largest "Halo 5" release ever, will include the PvE mode, several maps, new game features and updates, Forge updates, new Rews and Warzone and Arena maps. An exact release date for the upcoming "Halo 5" expansion is yet to be announced.
