Latest reports suggest game developer BioWare's upcoming game "Mass Effect: Andromeda" will see the day of the light at the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) 2016 event which is scheduled to begin on June 14 at the Los Angeles Convention Center. "Mass Effect: Andromeda" was first announced in 2012.
Aaryn Flynn, BioWare's general manager, has confirmed that "Mass Effect: Andromeda" will be published in 2017. The third-person shooter action video game will be on the list of E3 2016's lineup of featured games which also includes "Halo," "Gears of War 4," "Ion," "Recore," "Ashen," "Sea of Thieves," "Phantom Dust," and more.
Rumors are that the next title for the "Mass Effect" series, dubbed "Mass Effect: Andromeda" will offer players an open-world freedom, new characters and enemy trap experiences, reported Christian Today.
"Mass Effect Andromeda" will allow players to take on a role between a male or a female character. They will be able to drive the highly customizable Mako, which is a six-wheeled buggy that was used in previous "Mass Effect" games. It will also have a jet pack feature that players will look forward to, reported Ecumenical News.
Players are also quite eager to find out who the new protagonist will be including the game's roster of other characters and enemies. There have not been enough details about it since it was announced, but Bioware has assured gamers that it will be worth the wait.
The game developer had originally scheduled to launch "Mass Effect: Andromeda" this year. However, it decided to postpone the release to early 2017 to ensure that fans' expectations will be met.
The game will be rolled out for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One next year. Although it's part of the "Mass Effect" franchise, it is not considered to be the game's fourth installment.
