While, fans were eagerly waiting for game developer Rockstar Games to announce "Red Dead Redemption 2" at the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) 2016 event, the same did not happen. There was no sign of the sequel at the event.
It was speculated that the recent Orlando Shooting was the main reason why "Red Dead Redemption 2" announcement did not happen. According to reports, the game was supposed to make an appearance at the event, but, Sony decided to cancel the release of the footage at the last minute as the same had scenes that resemble the Orlando shooting event. The footage was pulled back to show respect to the victims and affected families.
However, later on, Adam Boyes, the vice president of Third Party Relations and Developer Technology Group at PlayStation, disapproved of the rumors and confirmed that 'Red Dead Redemption 2' was never part of the presentation. When asked about the issue on Twitter, Boyes replied saying "no, this is not true. The length and content we showed has been locked and unchanged for months."
According to him, Sony PlayStation never had any intentions to show off or tease a new game from Rockstar during its E3 event and that all the rumors about "Red Dead Redemption 2" revelation on E3 was all fan made and nothing more than that.
While, Rockstar Games has been keeping mum on "Red Dead Redemption 2," a Reddit user by the name of AnonDN1978, has claimed that the developer team has been working on the game since four years and that the same will be titled 'Red Dead Redemption 2: Legends of the West'.
We advise our readers to take the information with a grain of salt as nothing has been officially announced about "Red Dead Redemption 2" release.
