Ever since Pokémon GO was launched, players have already been waiting for the Plus devices to be used in the game. Plus devices are gadgets that allow players to play the game without having to open the app. However, there have been several reports saying that the newly launched accessory is not working properly on Android devices.
According to reports, there have already been a number of players on the Pokémon GO subreddit that have trouble getting the Plus accessory to stay connected. Pokémon GO Plus uses Bluetooth to access the app, which makes it possible to catch the little creatures and visit PokéStops without opening the app. However, it doesn't seem to work with Android devices, even the new releases.
"Anyone on Android having trouble connecting the [Pokémon Go Plus]?" asks one popular thread. And twenty-one others comment followed by users with different phones, different Android operating systems, and different Bluetooth connections that have had trouble accessing the Pokémon GO Plus. The accessory gadget functions as it connects to the game without any difficulty, but minutes, even seconds later, it will blink red and vibrate. That's the death chime for the Plus, which will mean that it will no longer play the game without you, as you have intended, reported Polygon.
A report by Movie News Guide said that if this trend continues, fans would have to wait for the Android Wear smartwatch version, or will just have to play the game normally. However, this destroys the purpose that the device was released for to begin with. Unfortunately, only the Apple Watch version of the device was teased to fans.
Meanwhile, as players may have to minimize on criticizing Niantic Labs, the game will require players to spend some cash. This is especially because Pokéballs and other items became harder to find. Players know this especially if the Pokémon have higher CPs. Players who were willing to pay for the game have dropped a lot, so the game developer will have to find new ways to earn.
Although Niantic is only a small developer, the partnership it got with The Pokémon Company has allowed it to achieve great things and the team is more than likely able to fix issues with Android phones in the near future, something that should have been made through the testing phase in the first place. Pokémon GO has been dubbed that most downloaded mobile game that many regions have ever experienced.
