Smartphone makers are leaving no stone unturned to make sure that their handsets are ahead of their competitors in terms of specs and features. While, a couple of smartphones including iPhone 7, Samsung Galaxy Note 7 and LG V20 have been successful in gaining smartphone users' attention, there's still five best upcoming smartphones to look out for.
Google Pixel XL- Talking about the much rumored Google Pixel XL, the handset is all set to make a debut on October 4. Rumors are that the handset will feature a 5.5-inch QHD screen, Snapdragon 820 processor, 4 GB of RAM coupled with 128 GB of storage space, a 13-megapixel rear camera, a 5-megapixel front camera and Android 7.0 Nougat.
Microsoft Surface Phone 2016- The most interesting rumor about Microsoft's upcoming Surface Phone 2016 is that the handset will come with a fingerprint scanner embedded in its front glass which will serve as its sensor. Among other specs, the Microsoft Surface Phone 2016 is expected to feature Intel's upcoming Kaby Lake processor, a 5.7-inch AMOLED display, a 21-megapixel rear camera, Surface Pen functionality and Windows 10 Mobile OS.
The handset is rumored to get rolled out in three variants with different storage capacity- 3GB of RAM for the base variant, 6GB of RAM for the midrange model and a massive 8GB of RAM and 512GB of built-in storage for the high-end variant. The Surface Phone 2016 is likely to get a release date in the first quarter of 2017.
OnePlus 4- Rumors about the next gen OnePlus 4 smartphone, which is expected to get an early 2017 release date, are floating ablaze. The OnePlus 3 successor is expected to get a 5.5-inch OLED display panel with 4K resolution, Qualcomm Snapdragon 830, a massive 8GB RAM, 256GB external storage support via microSD card, a powerful 23 MP main camera, an 8MP front camera, a fingerprint scanner, a 4,000 mAh battery and Android 7.0 Nougat.
Samsung Galaxy S8- Samsung's highly anticipated Galaxy S8 is rumored to sport a 5.2-inch 4K display intended for use with VR, Exynos 8895 processor coupled with ARM's new Mali-G71 GPU, 6GB of RAM, a 30-megapixel rear camera, a 9-megapixel front camera and a massive 4,200 mAh battery. The handset is expected to get rolled out in two variants- "Galaxy S8" and "Galaxy S8 Edge"- in February 2017.
Xiaomi Mi 6- The Xiaomi Mi 5 successor, possibly dubbed the Mi 6, is rumored to feature a 5.5-inch 4K display with a pixel density of nearly 700 ppi, Snapdragon 830 processor, 6GB of RAM with 32GB and 64GB internal storage options, a 23 megapixel primary camera, a 13 megapixel front shooter and a Retina scanner.
