There's no doubt that "GTA 6" is among one of the most awaited games currently. But, the fact that Rockstar Games and its parent company Take Two Interactive aren't announcing a single word about GTA 6 release date or gameplay is making video gamers worry about the game's future. There are even reports which claim that the highly anticipated title will never see the light of the day as Rockstar Games has decided to cancel the sequel.
Despite rumors of GTA getting cancelled, gamers are not losing hope completely. In fact, some gaming websites are claiming that the gaming studio might take it to stage of the Electronic Entertainment Expo 2017 event to unveil the "GTA 5" successor. However, the "GTA 6" release date is expected to be scheduled in 2018.
If reports are to be believed Rockstar Games is not yet done with updating the current "GTA 5" title as it is still hugely popular among gamers. The gaming title is still earning quite well for the gaming studio. In fact, the game has made it to the top of gaming charts in the U.S. post the "GTA 5" Biker DLC roll out. This is expected to be one of the reasons for delay in "GTA 6" release. Notably, Rockstar is currently working on two popular game sequels. The games in question are expected to be "Red Dead Redemption 2," "Bully 2" or "Grand Theft Auto 6."
There are also reports which claim that Rockstar Games and Take-Two Interactive are experiencing a slowdown in "GTA Online" micro transactions which signals that an upcoming "Grand Theft Auto" release might be in pipeline.
Talking about "GTA 6" gameplay, the gaming title is speculated to be the first GTA installment to feature a female protagonist. As far as the map is concerned, the yet-to-be-announced GTA game is expected to be based in Jacksonville.
