NHL’s New Season Will Feature Apple TV Streaming And An In-Arena App

It's time for hockey and NHL is going digital. The latest offering by NHL for hockey fans is a new NHL TV app for latest generation Apple TV and an in the stadium app, Arena.
BAMTech is going to be the Streaming provider and digital product provider for the entire season of NHL. BAMTech had started as a digital streaming service streaming everything from sports to television series. Presently, BAMTech is an industry standard-bearer and will be managing a large scale viewership of NHL.
NHL.TV allows viewers to stream out-of-market game both live and on-demand, across various platforms including Android, Xboxone, and now also on Apple TV. The Apple TV which was launched pre-season has got some new amazing apps to stream the matches. The new app is compatible with the Apple second generation TV. The streaming for Apple TV will be available at 60 fps in HD. Pause and rewind controls will also be available during the live game. NHL.TV app is not available in Canada. The streaming will be handled by Rogers GameCentre Live.as reported in TechCrunch.
The new Arena app is similar to the MLB's Ballpark. It will give NHL fans amazing experience for all the 12 participating arenas. Fans will be able to check out a calendar of local events, as well as buy their tickets and then present them on the device for redemption.
The new Arena app will also enable the fans to avail in-arena promotions as well as in-seat delivery of concession items. The app will also help connect fans for game discussions. A full suite of mobile payment offerings for in-venue retailers will also soon be added in the app.
With NHL adding such additional features for streaming on Apple TV and an in-arena app, fans will have a gala time watching the games, be it in the stadium or on the TV.
