Preview on Pokémon’s Sun/Moon Trainers and Totem Battle

The Pokemon Sun/Moon will have boss battles, although prior demos failed to make it that far.
Over the years, pokemon has remained a formulaic game. Although the game continues to get better through minor tweaks and updates, one can easily funnel the experience down to "catch Pokemon, get badges." Yet after spending over an hour going through every beginning of it, the game already felt like a different one. A sudden change in the player's perspective will surely surprise you.
All the familiar elements of the game is still there-meet the professor, obtain a starter Pokemon, and go out to train and learn the basics. A major change has come to the movement of your character in the game. Your character is no longer tied to the known grid-based movement like every other previous versions of Pokemon game. Players can now freely walk around in every direction without the restrictions of the grids. Boss battle and Gym leaders are also replaced by a more robust collection systems. It is still the Pokemon experience we know for the last 15 years just a little slanted and improved.
Even improvements to the "qualify of life" can already make the game feel more rewarding. The battle menu will suggest which moves are super effective, not effective, and effective whenever you battle a Pokemon that you've already encountered. This small detail feels incredibly helpful in a game which rosters over 700 Pokemons. The map isn't just an item that you can pull out when you're caught in a vague sense; the Sun/Moon update will finally implement a minimap that gives you arrows that directs you to your next set of objectives. This option is perfect for someone who takes frequent breaks from any games at some point, and comes back totally confused as to where you'd supposed to be.
If you're itching to get your hands into making a comeback into Pokemon, Nintendo has already announced a demo of the Sun/Moon starting October 18. This will give players a preview before the game's full release on November 8.
