It's not been long since the arrival of OnePlus's latest 'flagship killer', the OnePlus 3. And now, the company looks forward to revamp the features and bring out a new edition for its dedicated fans. OnePlus looks forward to bring out an updated device that stays in the race, competing with the top brands, but at a lesser budget.
The device, rumored to be called as OnePlus 3 Plus or OnePlus 3S will feature an upgraded list of specs. But, the design is said to stay the same as stated by GizmoChina. The primary focus is said to be on the processor chip. The current SnapDragon 820 chipset will be replaced by SnapDragon 821 which is the most powerful one till date.
Another rumor spreading is that the OnePlus 3S might feature an LCD panel for the display. The change in the display came out as a probability due to lack of supply for the current AMOLED screens. However, the co-founder at OnePlus, Carl Pei, denied such rumors and agreed to continue using AMOLED displays on Twitter. He was quoted saying it to be "the foreseeable future." For now, no whispers are culpable when it comes to camera, storage, or other specs about the phone.
If the current online stocks for the OnePlus 3 are considered, the gray model takes at least 11 days for shipment while the gold one is out of stock in the U.S. The United Kingdom has both colors available in their stock with quick shipments (within a week) for the gold models as compared to the United States. And, China lacked both models in its stores.
It has only been a few months since the launch of the OnePlus 3. Now, as soon as the updated version comes out within the same budget, there are chances that it could turn out the bestselling mid-priced smartphone. As of now, these are all rumors, but we'll keep check on the updates for the OnePlus 3S.
