While, smartphone maker HTC has remained tight lipped about the highly anticipated HTC Bolt, codenamed Acadia, rumors about the handset's release date, specs and features have already flooded the internet. New reports suggest HTC Bolt will be the first HTC branded smartphone to come running Google latest Android 7.0 Nougat straight out of the box.
The information that HTC Bolt will run Android Nougat with Sense 8 UI was revealed by HTC ROM developer LlabTooFeR. Recently, popular tipster, Evan Blass, posted an alleged picture of the upcoming HTC Bolt on his official Twitter account, reported Venture Beat. The handset in the picture resembles the HTC 10 in appearance. The leaked render show the Bolt in a metal body with a rear-facing camera with dual LED flash, a front-mounted fingerprint scanner and a USB Type-C port on the bottom of the phone.
As far as HTC Bolt specs are concerned, it is rumored that will feature a 5.5-inch FHD display, 3 GB of RAM, 64 GB internal storage, support for microSD cards, an 18MP rear camera with a f/2.0 lens and an 8MP front camera. There are also reports which claim that HTC will follow Apple and roll out HTC Bolt sans a 3.5mm headphone jack.
Previous reports suggested that HTC Bolt would be exclusive to US only. But, now, it is reported that the handset will also be retailed across to Europe, Asia as well as Africa. There's currently no rumors about HTC Bolt pricing details. However, we expect the handset to be a mid-range phone. As far as HTC Bolt release date is concerned, the smartphone is rumored to get an early 2018 release. Readers are advised to take the information with a hefty pinch of salt as nothing yet about HTC Bolt specs, price or release date has been officially announce by the makers.
