Samsung smartphone users are eagerly waiting for the tech giant to roll out the latest Android 7.0 Nougat update for their handsets. Notably, the smartphone maker has already out the list of smartphones which are entitled to get the Android 7.0 Nougat update including Samsung Galaxy S7, Galaxy S7 Edge, Galaxy S6, S6 edge, S6 edge Plus and Galaxy Note 5.

Earlier reports suggested that Galaxy Note 7 would be the first device from Samsung to get Android 7.0 Nougat update. But, unfortunately, due to the battery exploding issue, the Korean company has decided to permanently cease Galaxy Note 7 production and supply.

It is to be noted that Samsung has a reputation of following a slower pace when it comes to switching over devices to the latest OS.  In fact, Samsung took a long time to roll out Android Marshmallow operating system for its devices. The tech giant's then flagship Galaxy S6 received the update five months after other OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers) updated their devices with Android Marshmallow.

Fortunately, according to some reports, Samsung Galaxy S7 was spotted running the latest Android 7.0 Nougat on the official GFXBench online database. This implies that the smartphone maker company is already testing the OS on Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge. However, it is expected that it might take around two to three months for the latest flagships to get the update. The Android 7.0 Nougat update for Galaxy S7, Galaxy S7 edge is expected to include the latest version of Grace UX.

It is rumored that Samsung will release the Android 7.0 Nougat update only for three smartphones this year - Galaxy S7, S7 Edge and Note 5. The Galaxy S6 Edge+, Galaxy S6 Edge and Galaxy S6 are pegged to get the update in the first quarter of 2017.
