HTC is planning to release an impressive new flagship device, possibly dubbed HTC 11, sometime in 2017. There has been new render images and a video showing us what HTC is planning to offer in the upcoming months.

With Samsung facing a tremendous blow due to the defective Galaxy Note 7, there is an opportunity for companies like HTC to prove their worth through the upcoming flagship smartphone. HTC had been the number one smartphone company in the 2013 when it first came up with the critically acclaimed, HTC One (M7). At that time, the main reason for its success was the impeccable custom-grade aluminium design, which Samsung Galaxy S4 could not be compared to at that time. HTC's premium design quality was unmatchable then.

A recent report shows an HTC designer posting a new video with a buttonless device called as Ocean. The device in the video displayed a touch-sensitive frame which let users use the device without the need to touch the screen. He claimed that it was just a concept and not an actual upcoming device.

However, new reports claim that HTC is working on launching a new series by the name of Ocean. The names being, Ocean Note, Ocean Smart, and Ocean Master. Though there is little proof to support this claim.

Furthermore, there is a video and some render images created to show an HTC 11 concept which features a design without any physical button. The device shows a touch sensitive frame technology. The video also details a few specs and features that HTC 11 might come with.

As seen in the video shown below, the HTC 11 concept offers a 5.5-inch 4K Dual Edge display with a waterproof aluminium unibody. The whole body is buttonless with a Qualcomm SnapDragon 830 processor chipset. The Samsung Galaxy S8 has also been rumored to offer the same processor chip. The HTC 11 concept might also feature 6 GB of RAM.

The concept video also show off a dual-lens camera with 12MP and 8MP. The front camera being 8MP with wide angle capturing features. The HTC 11 might also come without a headphone jack and will use a USB Type-C port for audio, charging and data transfer. As far as HTC 11 release date is concerned, the smartphone is expected to get an early 2017 release.

Look at the HTC 11 concept video and decide what you think about the device.
