Hacker Behind Jennifer Lawrence And Other Hollywood Celebrities Nude Photo Scandal Sentenced To 18 Months Of Imprisonment

After hacking the accounts and leaking nude photos of famous Hollywood celebrities, Ryan Collins is now pleaded guilty and sentenced for 18 months of imprisonment.
Under the ruling of U.S. District Judge Willam W. Caldwell, the hacking culprit will be in prison for more than a year. Two years ago, the 36-year-old man hacked Apple and Google email accounts of Jennifer Lawrence, Gabrielle Union, Kate Upton and dozens of female personalities in order to get a copy of some of the private moments of the these celebrities.
In 2016 March, Collins was charge of felony computer hacking under the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act after being identified by a Los Angeles-based FBI agent as one of the suspected culprits. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the hacking suspect could have been facing five years in jail under the Federal Law, but the prosecutors recommended a one year and a half imprisonment after Collins' agreement to take a plea deal.
The case investigation of the Federal prosecutors about Ryan Collins hacking activity led them in finding out that the suspect used a scheme called phishing in gathering the hacked information of the Hollywood celebrities, DailyMail.co.uk reported.
Collins, a father-of- two was able to gain the information of the victims after the female celebrities responded in an email that he created an email which appeared to have come from Apple and Google. In the said hacking activity, Ryan Collins was able to get personal files including nude photos and videos that were saved online by the Hollywood stars.
Although Collins did not lie of hacking the nude photos and personal information of his victims, the investigation showed that he did not upload or shared the pictures in the online web. Ryan Collins is originally from Hershey, Pennsylvania and is currently residing in Lancaster.
