Apple's newest feature for MacBook Pro models, Touch Bar has been a talk of the town because of the new functions that it adds to the laptop. Together with the new advantages of Touch Bar is an estimated $200 cost price if someone tries to fix the OLED strip display in their MacBook Pro laptop once broken.
According to Tech Times, one of the expected causes of such damage is its cracking exposure which users can accidentally do. Spilled liquids may also stop the functionality of Touch Bar, depending on how well Apple sealed it.
Users have been advised to take care of their new MacBook Pro laptops as damaging the Touch Bar will stop them from quickly accessing some of the commands which they had to input manually in the traditional keyboard. Despite the worries about the damaging chances of Touch Bar, some reports expressed that Apple has assured MacBook Pro users that the new innovated feature is worth the money.
In an interview with CNET, Apple's Chief Design Officer, Jony Ive shared how the company prepares to provide the market new technology like the new Touch Bar.
"This is something we lived on for quite a while before we did any of the prototypes. You really notice or become aware of something's value when you switch back to a more traditional keyboard," Ive said.
Ive also stressed that Apple users should expect new tech innovations in the future. At the same time, the Chief Design Officer assured their consumers that no matter how big the changes are in their products, the Cupertino will only manufacture things that will provide users a positive change.
MacBook Pro customers worldwide may enrol their laptops to AppleCare+ warranty, as it will cover their Apple products from accidental damages like broken Touch Bar.
