LeEco smartphones that took Chinese markets by surprise are here in the US. The latest offering by LeEco is the LeEco LePro 3, which is probably not the best, the company has to offer. If you are planning to buy the LeEco LePro 3, here is a complete review for buyers to decide whether it is worth it or not.
LeEco LePro 3 Review - Hardware
There are no second thoughts that LeEco is offering best hardware available at the price with its LePro 3. It features a 5.5-inch HD screen, A 16 MP rear camera and 8MP front camera with a 4000mAh battery. It is powered by Snapdragon 821 processor with 4GB of RAM with a 64GB of internal storage. LeEco LePro 3 is designed with inspirations from several brands such as HTC, Samsung and that gives is a distinct look.
LeEco LePro 3 Review - Performance
With the amazing hardware it packs, LeEco LePro 3 should give an amazing performance. It can run heavy games like Asphalt Extreme without any lag but an extended play heats up the phone. The 3DMark Slingshot test gives the LePro 3 a score of 2427 which is comparable to the Google Pixel. Its interface is not something that will leave you in awe. Most LeEco apps take a second or two to launch which is very annoying, as reported by Android Police.
LeEco LePro 3 Review - Camera
With a 16MP camera, the LeEco LePro 3 gives decent photos. It lacks optical image stabilization and the software seems to have been designed with for low light to an extreme degree. This results in extra bright images in medium light and contrast. With this price point, users will be fine with the camera quality,as reported by TechCrunch.
LeEco LePro 3 Review - Software
The only thing that absolutely takes the phone down is the software. The most problematic aspect of the software is in notifications. If there are more than three, notifications won't appear on the screen. The apps on screen get only a third of the screen space making the entire display cumbersome.
The LeEco LePro 3 is a decent phone on a budget and if you do not mind the software issues, this one might be a good buy.
