Yang Liwei, first Chinese astronaut, has heard a mysterious sound in space. This has caught the attention of the Netizens.

China.org.cn reported that Yang described the disturbing sound like a wooden hammer hitting an iron bucket. When he recalled his experience in the outer space, Yang said, "A non-casual situation I have met in space is a knock that appeared from time to time."

Yang elucidated that the sound suddenly came out without any reason. "It neither came from outside nor inside the spaceship, but sounded like someone is knocking the body of the spaceship just as knocking an iron bucket with a wooden hammer," Yang added.

When Yang was in the outer space he was anxious and nervous when the sound appeared. However, he was brave to move close to the porthole to find out the cause. But nothing came out or appeared from both inside and outside.

When he returned to Earth, he asked the technicians about the mysterious sound and he tried to mimic it with some kind of instrument to figure out the conundrum. But then, he had never heard the exact sound again as to what he heard from the outer space.

It was not only him who heard the sound but it has also been heard by Shenzhou 6 and Shenzhou 7 astronauts. Finally, Yang advised the other astronauts that before entering the space, he told them that the sound is a normal phenomenon and there is no need to worry about it.

Yang Liwei was born in the Northeastern Liaoning Province on June 21, 1965. Yang was considered by the Chinese government to be officially the first astronaut who flew into outer space and now became a major general. On Oct. 16, 2016, he moved out of his re-entry module after a 21-hour exploration in space, making him the 241st human to visit the outer space.
