Apple iMac's latest version is pegged to get a 2017 release date. With Apple enthusiasts waiting for this upgrade over the previous edition, Apple is yet to give concrete information about the expected release. Many online reports indicate that Apple iMac 2017 will mostly likely be launched in the upcoming Apple event of 2017.
Previously, the same level of speculation arose for the expected launch of iMac 2016- an event which did not transpire. Apple did not even bring up the subject of iMac 2016 in any of the three Apple events (latest one in October) which were held this year. If rumors are to be believed, Apple deliberately set back the announcement and release of the latest iMac. The lateness could also be the result of the delay in the production of Intel's Kaby Lake processor.
As per many reports available online, Apple's new computer may include Intel Xeon processor instead of the previously speculated Kaby Lake. Xeon processors have been used extensively for high-end models of workstations.
Apple iMac fans are excited about the release of the Apple iMac 2017 edition and believe that the end result would be worth the wait. The wait also indicates that the latest member of the iMac family will come with excellent specs and features.
Apple iMac 2017 Specs-
Apart from the change in the processing chip, the tech giant may complete change the design of the iMac computer. Reports suggest that Apple iMac 2017 might come with a whopping 27-inch 5K display screen. It might also be equipped with virtual reality technology as every major tech giant is switching to that platform. VR support provides a better experience to its users. Moreover, it might also include the latest OLED touch bar. None of these features have received a final confirmation from Apple directly.
The inclusion of latest Intel Xeon technology will certainly make for commendable processing performance by reducing programming errors. However, the Xeon processors are also considerably expensive as compared to its predecessors. If Apple does decide to include Xeon, we wonder what the increased price tag may look like. Apple products are quite (in)famous for being costly!
