NetherRealm Studios continues to deliver high-quality titles to the public with "Mortal Kombat X" under its wing. With the success of its predecessor, the clamor for "Injustice 2" intensifies due to the recent update that Darkseid and some characters of "Justice League" and "Watchmen" can be playable in the highly anticipated game.
Darkseid, the ruler of Apokolips in the DC comics will be playable in "Injustice 2." Fans of the game speculated this development because the Apokolips ruler is also playable in the mobile version. The "Justice League" members namely Superman, The Flash, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, and Batman are also included in the highly anticipated sequel. Also found in the roster of iconic characters are Supergirl, Harley Quinn, Blue Beetle, Gorilla Grodd, Deadshot and Atrocitus.
In a recent report by Gamespot, there is a possibility that the storyline of "Injustice 2" will be based on the upcoming comic book series, "Injustice: Ground Zero." In the comic books, Harley Queen forms the "Joker Crew" with the main purpose of wreaking havoc Harley-style. Pop Mhan did the artwork for the comics and is written by Christopher Sebela. The comic series will be released on Dec. 7.
Darkseid and the characters of "Justice League" will be joined by "Watchmen" in the impressive roster of "Injustice 2" playable characters. It has been confirmed that Beast Boy, The Atom, Vixen, Swamp Thing, Ra's al Ghul, Aqualad, Captain Gold, and Black Canary will be in the game. Fans of "Mortal Kombat" fighter Sub-Zero, Spawn, and The Watchmen will be delighted to know that they can also play these characters in the game.
The game is slated to release alongside stiff competition in the name of "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild," and "Mass Effect Andromeda." It is also heard through the grapevine that a mobile version of "Injustice 2" might be in the works for Android and IOS.
"Injustice 2" is slated to be released in March 2017 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
