2018 Toyota Camry Redesign: Specs & Features
Recent reports reveal that the upcoming sedan will feature Toyota's new Global Architecture modular platform. This architecture was also featured in the Prius hybrid and the C-HR crossover. 2018 Camry will have a slightly lower but wider stance. Although much change has not been done on the three-box sedan shape, some minor tweaks do give a new look to the car.
The 2018 Toyota Camry Redesign sedan will feature Toyota's 3.5-liter V-6 engine which will make an output of 300 HP. The standard Camry, on the other hand, will feature four-cylinder engines, which may also include an updated 2.5-liter naturally aspirated unit and a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder inspired from the current Lexus models. The sedan gives a mileage of 24 per gallon in cities and up to 33 when driven on the highways.
2018 Toyota Camry Redesign: Looks
Quite recently a new TRD-tuned version was spied undergoing a test drive. It's expected that the upcoming 2018 Toyota Camry redesign will have the same features. As is revealed by the teased picture, the XSE model will have a C-pillar kink, aggressive fender vent, and a rear spoiler. To give the sedan a new look, the car's current taillight has been replaced with a new LED taillight and the tires have also been given a sportier look.
All these features were earlier also seen in the spied TRD-tuned version. So, it's also possible that a 2018 Toyota Camry TRD Variant will also be rolled out with the XSE version. Recent reports also state that the design revealed in the latest teased photos also match up with the new NASCAR version of the Camry, which was showed off in a recent Championship event.
2018 Toyota Camry Redesign: Release Date & Price
The upcoming sedan will hit the roads sometime in Q3 next year. It's worth noticing that Toyota leads other auto manufacturers in hybrid electric automobiles sales, and is amongst the largest companies selling hybrid vehicles all across the globe. The Camry has always managed to stay among the best-selling cars in the US and will make its debut at the 2017 Detroit Auto Show in January.
Based on the new features and modifications, the sedan may cost a bit more than the current model's $23,070 retail price. Stay tuned to SWR for more news and updates on the 2018 Toyota Camry Redesign.
