PC gamers have been waiting for a long time now for the release of laptops equipped with Nvidia GTX 1050, and it looks like the wait is about to be over. According to some latest updates, Nvidia is planning the release of Nvidia GTX 1050 graphic chips at the upcoming CES 2017.
The Nvidia GTX 1050 is a budget friendly alternative for the avid gamers. It is a Pascal based chip which gives a decent performance for a decent price. It is speculated that the latest Nvidia GTX 1050 will be priced at $110.
The latest reports suggest that in the first week of January, Lenovo, Asus, MSI, and Gigabyte will launch their gaming laptops equipped with the Nvidia GTX 1050 graphic card, as reported by Digitaltrends.
The Nvidia GTX 1050 is powered by 7GB/s memory speed, 1.35MHz clock speed, 640 CUDA cores, 112GB/s memory bandwidth, 2GB GDDR5 VRAM, and 128-bit memory interface. The company is also planning to launch the GTX 1050 Ti variant at the CES 2017.
The GTX 1050 Ti will be a slight upgrade over 1050. It will boost some amazing specs such as 768 CUDA cores, 4GB GDDR5 VRAM but will have a lower base clock speed of 1.29MHz. The Ti variant is rumored to be priced at $140.
It is worth noting that both the variants of the latest Nvidia GTX 1050 will not support virtual reality headsets such as Oculus Rift or HTC Vive. PC gamers looking forward enjoying the virtual games may have to go for the higher variants such as GTX 1060, which support the Virtual reality headsets, as reported by Windows Report.
Meanwhile, some other reports suggest that the laptops using the Nvidia GTX 1050 will also feature the latest next generation Intel Kaby Lake-H processor. A Combination of these to hardware will certainly enhance the gaming experience.
