A young woman from Florida has come out to discuss the relationship that put a tragic end to her pregnancy.

According to ABC News, Remee Jo Lee, 27, talked about how her ex-boyfriend, John Andrew Welden, 29, and how tricked her into taking abortion pills, which he led her to believe were prenatal tablets and antibiotics.

The two first met at a Class Act Show Bar, a gentleman's lounge with full service liquor bar in Tampa, Fla., where Lee used to work. Welden told her that his relationship with his long-term ex-girlfriend, Tara Fillinger, was over. Shortly after meeting, they became involved--however, Lee adds that Welden was often hesitant about labeling their relationship as exclusive.

Before she met Welden, Lee had suffered from alcohol addiction and was once caught while stealing $300 worth of cosmetics. She was also previously involved in a car accident and had records of using marijuana while in her car. Various reports state that when Welden entered her life, she decided to go down a different path and change.

Unfortunately, their relationship did not involve any type of sexual protection and resulted in a pregnancy shortly after. When Lee sent Welden the news regarding pregnancy test results, he was not happy to say the very least, replying with the following message: "Oh my God, I want to die. Are you serious? Remee, please don't do this, I beg you. I am destroyed."

However, Lee refused to have an abortion as she was hoping to be a mother.

Welden is the son of a doctor and was taking biomedical science and religion courses at the University of Southern Florida. He brought Lee to his father's office for an examination, at which, soon after, he told her she had a mild infection, and to take these prescribed pills that he said were antibiotics and vitamins. Unfortunately, they were not.

He gave her an abortion drug that's known as Cytotec. After experiencing severe pain from one tablet, she was rushed to the hospital and told that the pregnancy had ended as a result of the drug.

At this time, Welden remains in house arrest while waiting for his verdict regarding the crime.
