We've all been there. It's a work morning. We had one too many drinks last night. The alarm clock goes off and-head pounding-we stagger into work.

Unfortunately, to date, there's no medical cure for a hangover. However, recent research shows that Pedialyte may actually provide some relieve for the problem.

For instance, folks have stumbled onto the possibility of various carbonated beverages that could help decrease the effects of an alcohol-induced hangover.

"The key to reducing alcohol-related damage lies in minimizing the amount of time acetaldehyde is present in the body," a report via Chemistry World states.

As the short-term effects of alcohol obviously include a hangover, they're thought to be caused by acetaldehyde-commonly known as ethanol's first metabolite.

Various reports have linked certain soft-drinks and even electro-light drinks to a decrease in the symptoms felt by a hangover, ranging from fatigue, dizziness, headache and even vomiting in some cases.

For instance, some reports show that Pedialyte, a liquid meant for dehydrated infants suffering from vomiting and diarrhea, also works well for those suffering from bad decisions after a long night of partying.

Many adults who have turned to the electrolyte-loaded solution often compare it to a sports drink, only with less sugar.

"It's like 10 Gatorades in one bottle," musician Jason Isbell said, via the New York Times

Others health officials list Sprite as a great soft-drink choice for those who may be suffering from dehydration or fatigue due to a hangover.

As for the pills boasting hangover cures, we're really not sure. What do you think?
