Faking the Big O: Could it Boost Female Sexual Arousal?
Of course, we've all faked orgasm before. It's unfortunate that most men just don't know how to work it in the bedroom. Yet a recent study shows that faking the big O could actually help boost female arousal.
A recent study that examined 481 sexually active, straight single women, all an average age of 20, studied the art of just plain faking it. Findings showed that one of the top four answers women gave for faking orgasm involved altruistic deceit. Many also reported faking orgasm in order to provide more confidence for their partner.
However, another note marked fear and insecurity as a reason to fake an unsatisfactory sexual experience. Worse yet, findings even showed that some women fake orgasm to just get it over with. Fortunately, there are women who find that faking orgasm actually turns them on more and can boost sexual health, according to Newser.
Of course, we all knew that a faked orgasm helped support a lame partner's emotional health. Yet it's certainly surprising that there could be some benefit to faking a disappointing sesh in the sack.
Researchers also note that one caveat to this experiment is that only single women were studied and may have more difficulty achieving orgasm than those in serious relationships, according to Time.
