Go ahead and soak up some the sun, but don't forget to wash down some sunscreen before you hit the beach.

Thanks to the U.S. company Osmosis Skincare, they've created a new type of sunscreen that consumers can actually drink in order to get protection from the heat.

"The incidence of skin cancer, including melanoma -- the deadliest kind -- is going up, and wearing sunscreen is one of the best ways to prevent it," said Dr. Ronald Moy, a dermatologist and spokesperson for the foundation, via CNN

As estimates show that around 3.5 million cases of skin cancer will be diagnosed each year, according to the Skin Cancer Foundation, slathering on skin care products may not always be the most fun. Yet drinking them could provide a new and easier method to preventing this type of cancer.

The drinkable sunscreen is estimated to cost about $30 a bottle, and allows the consumer up to 3-hours of daily protection, according to The Daily Mail. The bottles are 3.38 ounces, with a serving size of only 2 ML and consumption through an eye-dropper that should be taken every 4 hours for protection. However, officials also note that the amount needed may also depend on the weight and height of each individual.

The product is made up of liquid molecules that place vibration on the skin to help cancel up to 97 percent of the UVB and UVA rays. It is also available in Tan Enhancing and No Tan Enhancing, according to the company's official website.

At this time, the product is still waiting to be approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
