Whole Foods has recalled dozens of items prepared with a supplier's ground cumin spice that may have also contained undeclared peanut, according to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

The recall items could have caused potentially fatal allergic reactions for those with peanut allergies. The products that contained ground cumin spice were sold from January 14-February 6, and all recalled items have been pulled from shelves, according to officials.

While not all items or products were sold in all store locations, according to CBS Philly, many items were sold throughout the United States, including stores in the following areas: CT, KY, MA, MD, ME, NH, NJ, NY, OH, PA, RI, VA, and Washington, D.C.

Though peanut allergies are one of the most common allergies, they can cause severe, potentially fatal, allergic reaction (anaphylaxis).

It's advised that people with the allergy have quick access to an epinephrine auto-injector at all times, to help prevent the potentially fatal reaction. Furthermore, parents can help by checking the ingredient labels to identify any peanuts found in food products.

Fortunately, no allergic reactions have been reported at this time.
