Electric Cars: 4 Most Updated Models Coming in 2017
Four new models of electric cars are coming in 2017. The arrays of the new plug-in electric cars are the Chevrolet Bolt EV, Hyundai Ioniq Electric, BMWi3 and the Ford Focus Electric.
Chevrolet Bolt EV
Chevrolet Bolt EV is an all-electric vehicle that can travel for about 200 miles of range per charge. Bolt EV can be charged easily just like charging your cell phone. It has 240-volt charging unit that offers more power and will charge your Bolt EV faster. This can deliver up to an average of 25 miles of range per hour of charge. It reloads the battery in about 9 hours. The 2017 Chevy Bolt EV has a base price of $35,000.
Hyundai Ioniq Electric
This is the first eco-focused car that has three electric drivetrains on one platform. It is a plug-in hybrid. It comes with a standard range of 110 miles. Its engine has 120 horsepower and 125 lb-ft of torque with a 28 kWh lithium-ion polymer battery. If you will travel for over 110 miles, the plug-in hybrid will do over 25 miles on all electric. There is no report on pricing yet.
BMWi3
BMWi3 is manufactured by BMW, the German manufacturer. It is a five-door urban electric car. Its official range is about 130 to 160 km (80 to 100 mi) under the New European Driving Cycle. In the United States Environmental Protection Agency, its official range is 130 km (81 mi). BMWi3 is considered the most fuel efficient EPA-certified vehicles as of June 2015. In the US, it costs about $42,275.
Ford Focus Electric
Ford Focus Electric is developed by Ford. It is a five-door hatchback electric car. The new model of Ford electric car has an increased range of 100 miles. It features a fast charger that can reload the battery to 80 percent in only 30 minutes. Other features include 15-spoke aluminum painted wheels, HID automatic headlights, LED illuminated external charging port ring and LED taillights. It does not have the official price yet but it won't differ much from the latest model with a price of $27,829.
