‘Space Jam 2’ Might Just Not Happen
This week, fans have been buzzing about Warner Bros' Space Jam 2 movie. The company had officially signed a director for the film, but a big question still remains: who would be in it?
People already have in mind that the major cast will be composed of characters from the Looney Tunes (and seemingly, the Monstars) in the sequel to the '90s hit. But the biggest question stands about the man who was actually first attached to the movie in rumors: LeBron James.
According to a news article on Today's Fastbreak, Lebron James, on Wednesday, addressed the rumors about his possible attachment to star in the movie. Or, he kind of did. Via Fox Sports Ohio:
"I have a great team that handles my affairs off the floor. Since I signed with Warner Bros. we've been looking to do some things and figure out some things that best fit both sides. But my team's handling that and I'm not going to take my focus off what my job is right now, which is handling the postseason right now," James said after shootaround.
So, his response is somewhat a non-denial denial.
"I'm not focused on it" is not the same as "I haven't signed anything" or even "I'm not going to do it" or perhaps "Are you kidding me why would I possibly risk my cultural status on this kind of idea." Therefore, you can bet that there is a higher probability that Lebron James will definitely be announced as the star of Space Jam 2 movie this summer.
James has somehow played coy about potentially being the star of Space Jam 2 for nearly two years. He has been doing so because the studio will certainly want to make a big announcement with a press conference and Bugs Bunny in person at the event as cited in a news report on CBS Sports.
