Tesla Model S & X Summon Feature Works With An Amazon Echo
Tesla's autonomous driving technologies mark an impressive feature with its Model S and X. This is the most interesting sub-feature called Summon.
According to BGR, this feature will let owners summon their Models S or X when it is already parked. It can even be used when it is parked inside a garage.
The Verge reports that there is a cooler way to connect it with Amazon's Echo. Jason Goecke attached his Tesla Model S to his Amazon echo, to be able to utilize the Summon feature using voice commands.

Amazon Echo is a voice command device that is created byAmazon.com. It has a 9.25 inch (23.5 cm) tall cylinder speaker with a seven-piece microphone array. It acts in response to the name "Alexa" and can also be altered by the user to "Echo" or "Amazon."
It is capable of doing music playback, voice interaction, streaming podcasts, setting an alarm, providing traffic, playing audiobooks, marking to-do list, providing weather and other real-time information.
Mr. Goecke came up with a code that runs in the cloud to counter the keyword triggers with Alexa. To pull the car out of the garage, he used "ASK KITT" as a command. To see how it works, you may watch the video below.
He's urging on Tesla to open up its developer tools to permit this type of function in a secure way. He further said that friends at Tesla should work with the growing developer community to open a totally supported and safe public API.
Goecke concluded that Tesla has built the beginnings of a superb platform, but it will take an intensive effort to attract developers to build the apps that even Elon Musk hasn't dreamed of (yet).
