Anti-advertising gadget XOkey USB is taking off in the market as it aims to promote non-advertisement to anyone who connects. Starting off with a price of $70, the wireless getaway is a device that is able to block ads when anyone is trying to connect.

XOware, a startup company from California has been developing a device called the XOkey USB. Priced at $40, it can protect other users from unsecured connections such as coffee shops or airport internet and become possible victims of identity frauds. The device can be upgraded to a wireless hardware by connecting the XOKey to the XOnet wireless gateway.

XOware released the XOnet with a starting price of $70. It is a cheap one time pay device just to insure your online safety. The wireless gateway is a compact router-sized device, which could be placed anywhere within your home or workplace's network to protect anyone using or connecting malicious threats.

The XOnet's newest feature came with an ad blocking capabilities that has been added during the software update, SecGeeks reported. It is now part of the wireless gateway system and has been helpful to its users. This enables the device to block any site from unwanted and unsafe ad without having to install any plugins or extensions to the browser itself.

In a report, XOware Chief Executive Ken Goldsholl said "We implement ad blocking by maintaining a blacklist of servers, and looking up all addresses on the list before performing a DNS lookup. If a URL that is requested by a client device is on the blacklist, we ignore it, so the data is never sent to the connected device."

XOkey and XOnet, being an open-source device, have kept users safe from cyber threats. Having websites free of ads, regardless of whether it is clean or malicious, it will take you away from being bothered by flashy and unwanted banners when surfing the net.

XOkey USB wireless gateway has been recommended by many users for its tight network security features, ZDNet reported.
