Dell offers a new monitor that is designed to solve the problems commonly encountered in setting up systems of multi-monitored desktops that are popularly used by those who wish to have an immersive widescreen adventure. With Dell's 43 Multi-Client Monitor or P4317Q, the users will no longer need to use three similar displays to avoid issues on matching and mixing different resolutions. The new device will also prevent the differences in color calibration from altering how work will look from one monitor to another.

The new Dell P4317Q is a 4K, 43-inch device that works like it is four displays built into one. When presented on one screen, the displays have no borders, although the users can swap any of the clients to a full-screen mode as well. The whole monitor comes with a maximum resolution of 3842 x 2160 x 60Hz, with a response time of 8ms, a USB 3.0 hub along with four ports and the two 80-watt speakers. Adding to its strength is the fact that it does not need a bezel in order to be able to display up to four different desktops, with each coming at 1080p, bringing some good news to gamers.

Dell created the new the Multi-Client Monitor thinking of the finance industry, yet it is also able to run the four separate clients of different types at the same time.  Also, it is able to eliminate the cable issues associated with setting up the four monitors manually on one desk, PC Mag reported.

According to Dell, the P4317Q will also include an RS232 port for remote handling, although it is not certain why the monitor would need a serial port. The other ports will have miniDisplayPort, a legacy VGA 15-pin DSUB, DisplayPort 1.2 and four-port USB 3.0 hub. In addition, it can accept input coming from several sources at the same time.

Dell's P4317Q is already available for the price of $1,350. While it is definitely offers an impressive technology, some people believe that its high price value is aimed at offsetting the company's lower sales of their multi-monitor stands, according to Extreme Tech.
