It’s Google Photos’ First Birthday, And It’s Offering Some Treats and Tweaks

Google Photos recently celebrated its first birthday, yet it will be the one giving its users some "gifts".

Since it started, Google Photos has created about 1.6 billion animations, collages, and movies out of the photos that users have posted, said Google in a blog post. The post added that there have been 24 billion "selfies" from its users.

Nexus users are reportedly up for a new feature as Android Police revealed that they can soon have unlimited storage for original-quality photos as well as videos. There will be internal tools in adjusting contrast and exposure to improve those photos.

Google Photos was formally launched on May 28 last year that encouraged about 200 million users to store their photos online.  It came in as a great photo and video storage for millions of Internet users.

According to Engadget as revealed by Anil Sabharwal of Google Photos, Nexus users can also experience an improved Google Assistant that could remove blurry or identical images. There is a high demand for additional storage on Google Photos since most users of the app are living in developing countries. These users always prefer to have huge data storage allowing them to save more photos and videos.

Google Photos has indeed done so much in a span of one year, and the service users have been benefitting from the features and offers.

As part of its anniversary, Google Photos even came up with some tips and tricks for its users on iOS and Android.  Google Photos users can easily narrow down their searches by people or places, and can even enter their preferred emoji right in the search bar. Service users are also allowed to create a collaborative album, where chosen users can add new photos. Each photo contribute can get a notification each time a new photos is uploaded.
