WWE 2K17 Release Date, Rumors, News: Bill Goldberg Confirmed To Be Part Of Pre-Order Bonus

WWE and 2K Games have announced that Bill Goldberg has been included in WWE 2k17 pre-order exclusive as a playable character on the latest edition of the video game franchise which is set for release on Xbox One and PS4 in October 2016.

The two-time World Heavyweight Champion and WCW legend is the latest to join the elite list of pre-order exclusive characters which already includes WWE Hall of Famers Sting, Ultimate Warrior and legendary muscle man Arnold Schwarzenegger.

The announcement was made on WWE Raw TV episode which aired on May 30, ending speculation about a series of cryptic tweets from WWE's Twitter account which included the odd hashtag '#Hatch'.

Gamers who obtain the WWE 2K17 Pre-Order Bonus will get two Goldberg versions and two familiar venues where the wrestler previously had a fight. Out of the two playable character versions, one will correspond to his time at WWE and other at WCW. Furthermore, gamers will also receive access to WCW Monday Nitro and WCW Halloween Havoc, the two arenas which remind of Goldberg's career-high achievements.

In a recent interview with WWE, Goldberg said that it's almost a dream come true for him to be included in WWE 2K17.

"It's a dream come true," Goldberg said. "To be able to come back and be included in WWE 2K17, it's a huge honor. It's just a really cool deal to be a character in WWE 2K17. Whether it's Nitro or Halloween Havoc, to have me as an available character, it's really cool. It's a tribute."

Talking about the game, Goldberg said that there's a long list of people whom he never got the opportunity to wrestle in an actual ring. Thanks to WWE 2K17 that he will make it happen for the first time.

"I'd love to wrestle a Bruiser Brody from the past. I'd love to wrestle Andre the Giant from the past," the WCW legend added.

With announcement of Goldberg's inclusion in WWE 2K17, fans are speculating his possible return to WWE almost after twelve long years since his WrestleMania 20 match against Brock Lesnar.
