MacBook Pro 2016 Specs, Release Date, Price Update: Next Gen Apple Laptop To Get VR Support?
New rumors about Apple's highly anticipated laptop MacBook Pro 2016 specifications and release date have surfaced online.
The MacBook Pro 2016 is rumored to get unveiled at Apple's annual World Developers Conference (WWDC) 2016 event, which is scheduled to begin next week on June 13.
If rumors are to be believed, Apple MacBook Pro 2016 may get Virtual Reality (VR) support and this is purported to be the reason behind delay in the device's launch.
Reports suggest, Apple is investing a lot in VR and is hiring the best researchers and engineers from the field. The Cupertino has recently acquired Flyby Media, a company popular for its augmented reality technology. Back in January, the company also hired Doug Bowman, a Computer Science Professor who is known as one of the world's best VR experts.
According to leaked images obtained by CultofMac, sent by an anonymous source who claims to work for one of Apple's manufacturing partners in China, the MacBook Pro 2016 will dispose of the function keys running across the top of the keyboard in favor of an OLED touch bar. The OLED bar is also expected to house the fingerprint reader and enable users to unlock the device through this bar. The pictures also hint at four USB-C connectors and a 3.5mm headphone jack. There appear to be two on the right and two on the left sides of the device.
Among other specs, the upcoming MacBook Pro laptop is expected to boast Intel Skylake processors, which are Intel's latest invention. The next gen laptop is expected to be rolled out in two screen-size variants, namely the 13-inch and 15-inch variants.
Rumors suggest that MacBook Pro 2016 might become the first laptop to get Apple's intelligent personal assistant, Siri. Currently, Siri is exclusive to iPhone only.
There are even rumors which suggest that the latest MacBook Pro will be much more affordable in terms of pricing as compared to its predecessors. In fact, speculations are that the laptop is going to be the most affordable laptop from Apple.
We advise our readers to take the information with a grain of salt as nothing yet has been officially announced by Apple.
