While, Apple is still keeping mum about MacBook Pro 2016 release date, it is rumored that the next gen laptop will likely get launched at the Cupertino's annual World Developers Conference (WWDC) 2016 event, which is scheduled to begin next week on June 13.

Rumors about MacBook Pro 2016 specs have been making rounds for quite some time now. It is expected that the upcoming MacBook Pro lineup will get a major overhaul with a lot of interesting upgrades and changes.

Recently, popular artist Martin Hajek, who is popular for creating close-to-accurate Apple product renders, posted some new MacBook Pro 2016 renders. The renders flaunts a sleek, high-resolution OLED touchbar into a modified MacBook Pro chassis.

Meanwhile, a report from BGR claims that the new MacBook Pro will be thinner and will need a different type of hinges. As per the report, the special metal injection molding (MIM) hinges for the upcoming Apple laptop are being developed by hinge-maker, Jarllytec.

Previously, CultofMac obtained some leaked images of the MacBook Pro 2016 which indicate that the upcoming laptop will get an OLED touch bar that replaces the function keys on the top of the keyboard. The OLED bar is also expected to house the fingerprint reader. The pictures also hint at four USB-C connectors and a 3.5mm headphone jack. There appear to be two on the right and two on the left sides of the device.

The upcoming MacBook Pro 2016 is expected to boast Intel's 6th gen Skylake processors. The next gen laptop is expected to be launched in two screen-size variants, namely the 13-inch and 15-inch variants.

Rumors suggest that MacBook Pro 2016 might become the first laptop to get Apple's intelligent personal assistant, Siri. Currently, Siri is exclusive to iPhone only.

As Apple has not yet announced anything about MacBook Pro 2016 release date, specs and pricing details, we advise our readers to take the information with a big grain of salt. It remains to be seen whether or not the new MacBook Pro will see light of the day at the WWDC next week.
