‘Rise Of The Tomb Raider’ PS4 Release Date Update: Developer Finally Confirms 2016 Roll Out
Fans were disappointed when they heard rumors of "Rise of the Tomb Raider" not getting a PS4 release. Thankfully, the rumors have turned out to be false. New reports suggest "Rise of the Tomb Raider" PlayStation 4 release will happen as scheduled in 2016.
The news was confirmed by game developer Crystal Dynamics itself. It was when one of the administrators on Square Enix's official forum asked the developer if "Rise of the Tomb Raider" PS4 release has been cancelled that he got a response that the game's PS4 version will indeed hit the shelves sometime this year.
"As stated previously, Rise of the Tomb Raider's PlayStation 4 release is set for Holiday 2016," the development team replied.
While, the gaming studio did not announce an exact release date, rumor mills have it that "Rise of the Tomb Raider" will be released for PS4 in mid-November, possibly on November 8 or November 15, around one year from the Xbox One's release date.
"Rise of the Tomb Raider" was first released on Xbox One last year because of Square Enix's timed exclusivity deal with Microsoft. Later on, in early 2016, it was introduced to PC with PS4 being the only platform left without the game. As time passed, the studio remained silent about a probable PS4 release. This left PS4 players believe that the game has been canceled. However, now, it seems the wait is finally over.
There are even reports which claim that if "Rise of the Tomb Raider" arrives on Sony's gaming console, it will not make such a huge impact, simply due to the fact that fans have long endured the waiting game.
"Rise of the Tomb Raider" features Lara Croft in an adventurous journey in the regions of Siberia. Players will play to find the secret of immortality using Lara's fighting skills.
