While Apple is yet to announce a release date for the highly anticipated iPhone 7, rumors related to the iPhone 8 release date, specs and features have already begun making rounds.

There have been reports which claim Apple iPhone 8 could come with an OLED edgeless display screen. Now, latest reports suggest LG has geared up its OLED technology development as it hopes to become one of the OLED display panel suppliers for Apple's iPhone 8.

The South Korean company, which is a relative latecomer in the OLED market, is expected to have ample supply of OLEDs by 2017, reported GameNGuide.

LG Display CEO Han Sang Beom has admitted to the fact that the company is late in OLED investment for smaller electronics devices compared to that of televisions. He added that the company needs to embrace that flexible OLEDs are currently the mega-trend in the mobile segment.

According to Yibada, the Cupertino has also filed a patent for a flexible OLED display. So, there are chances that the upcoming iPhone 8 could flaunt a flexible OLED display. It is, however, to be noted that the patent itself states that the display in question could also be used in other iOS devices such as iPads or Apple Watch.

Among other specs, the Apple iPhone 8 is rumored to get an all-glass design. It is reported that the home button/ fingerprint sensor will not exist as a physical portion of the new phone's design, but be integrated within the expanse of the display itself. The smartphone is expected to be embedded with a 10nanometer A11 chip and feature biometric additions such as facial and iris scanning.

Talking about the camera, the Apple iPhone 8 is rumored to get a primary camera of at least 14 megapixels and a front camera of 4 megapixels, reported Industry Leaders Magazine.

As far as iPhone 8 release date is concerned, the handset is expected to be unveiled either in late August or early September of 2017.

We would advise our readers to take the information with a pinch of salt as nothing yet has been confirmed by the makers.
