Samsung Galaxy Note 7 Specs, Leak, Update: New Leak Confirms 12 Megapixel Rear Camera? How To Live Stream Launch Event?
While Samsung's highly anticipated Galaxy Note 7 is just a few days away from its official August 2 release, new leaks and rumors about the flagship's possible specs and features continue to hit the web.
New listing on India's import-export tracking website Zauba seem to reveal information about the cameras on board Galaxy Note 7. As per the listing, the upcoming phablet will sport a 12-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front camera, reported WCCFTech.
If recent reports are to be believed, the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 could be the first smartphone to get an iris scanner. In fact, a recently leaked video posted on Chinese social network Weibo confirms the presence of an iris scanner on the upcoming flagship handset. The video shows a person unlocking the Note 7 in mere a second using only his eye. It is expected that an iris scanner will enhance the handset's security as well as help in quick unlocking of the device.
Among other specs, the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 is expected to feature a 5.7-inch QHD display of 1440x2560 pixel resolution and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor with Adreno 530 GPU. The device is rumored to get a massive 6 GB RAM, with storage options of 64 GB, 128 GB and 256 GB and a microSD expansion.
The upcoming Samsung flagship phone may also include a fingerprint scanner for improved security of the device, an advanced S-Pen, IP68 rating and a USB-C device connectivity. The handset is also rumored to feature Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection.
Samsung will unveil the Galaxy Note 7 at an Unpacked event that will take place at 11:00 a.m. EDT in New York on August 2, 2016. The invitation for the event features the S Pen front and center throughout the header image. It is reported that the handset will go on sale on the same day.
