Windows 10 is upgrading again as Microsoft celebrates its 10th year anniversary. Available for free in Aug. 2, the changes will feature a number of upgrades to Microsoft's PC software.

Microsoft brings a hub for apps that support ink, including Sticky Notes, Sketchpad and a Snapchat-style app that lets the user sketch on a screenshot called Screen Sketch. This upgrade adds to the use to the Surface Book's stylus, which will also works with Maps, Microsoft Edge and Office, Telegraph reported.

Microsoft's virtual assistant Cortana has also been unlocked to add the ability to call for help without requiring to log in to the user's device. That means that a user can remotely ask for help from a near location without having to move and unlock the screen.

A new Cortana Collection is introduced in the Windows Store, which makes it easier to find apps that work with Cortana. It also gains more functionality, which can now speak more Spanish, Portuguese and French, in addition to the 11 languages it could already understand. However, there is no way to turn Cortana off in the Windows 10 update.

Windows Hello has also been expanded with the use of a selfie or fingerprint scan, which also support websites on the Edge browser. A screen mirroring mode is also added that mirrors the contents on a phone, tablet or other computer to a PC using Project to PC.

Another feature of the Windows 10 upgrade lets the users receive notifications from Windows, Android and iOS devices straight to their PC.  Moreover, it comes with a dark mode option that features a black background with white text. The update also opens support for extensions and improving the tabs. Microsoft is reportedly working on a tool to convert Chrome extensions to Edge ones.

Windows 10 was previously offered for free to customers running Windows 7 that expired on July 29, University Herald reported. Today, Windows 10 costs $120 for the home edition and $200 for the professional edition. Watch the Windows 10 demo here.
