Samsung Galaxy Note 7 Specs: Hiya Anti-Spam, Anti-Robo Calls Tools Activated, 4 Vulkan API-Ready Games Included
Samsung Galaxy Note 7, as Samsung stated, will set a new standard for large screen devices. It will display a number of new firsts including four new features that support HDR video streaming, iris scanning, game packs and spam protection. Aside from these, rumors are confirmed that the device has a dual-edge display, a USB Type-C post and a completely water resistant body protected with Corning's Gorilla Glass 5.
Samsung has partnered with Amazon Prime video streaming service to make HDR video streaming capabilities possible in its Samsung Galaxy Note 7, SamMobile reported. The company said that HDR videos from Amazon's growing library of HDR content can be streamed on-demand by Prime subscribers on the Samsung Galaxy Note 7.
A highly advanced biometric authentication features have also been incorporated in Samsung Galaxy Note 7. Samsung has made the device more secure than its predecessor by adding a fingerprint scanner and the new iris scanning technology. The company said that the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 will support Samsung Pass. It will also eventually bring biometric authentication to more apps and services, while its iris recognition technology can be used in authenticating secure purchases made with Samsung Pay.
Samsung Galaxy Note 7 also comes with a Game Pack which is available through Google Play. It includes top game titles and features four Vulkan API-ready games, which is expected to have significant performance enhancements such as improved graphics quality and frame rates stability.
Galaxy Note 7 also carries a new functionality called Hiya. It protects the phone from robocalls and spam texts, IB Times reported. The service uses a data set comprised of a total of 1.5 billion active mobile and landline numbers around the world and 600 million within the United States. The service also includes a spam button that can be used to report phone numbers that seem to be spam.
