While, "Pokémon GO" developer Niantic has recently rolled out the wildly popular augmented reality game in a number of Asian countries, it has not announced anything about "Pokémon GO" India release date. According to IBTimes, Niantic has released a statement on its official Facebook page to explain the reason behind delay in the game's India release. The developer noted that issues with third-party services forced the company to delay the game's global roll out.

"We have limited access by third-party services which were interfering with our ability to maintain quality of service for our users and to bring Pokemon Go to users around the world. The large number of users has made the roll-out of Pokemon Go around the world an... interesting... challenge," the post read.

Although, "Pokémon GO" has not been officially rolled out in India, thousands of Indian gamers are already playing the game as they have installed it by illegally downloading the game through APK mirror files. This apparently forced the makers, the Niantic Labs and Nintendo, to geo-block the file downloading in Asian and South American regions. However, after access to APK files was blocked, gamers are now playing the game using VPN (Virtual Private Networks).

It should be noted that downloading fake and malicious game apps from third party sites can seriously compromise an individual's phone. In fact, the Computer Emergency Response Team of India (CERT-In) has issued an advisory which warns people about possible threats which they may face by installing malicious "Pokémon GO" game apps. The advisory warned that some fake versions of "Pokémon GO" are lockscreen apps, while, some are embedded with malicious Remote Access Tool (RAT) called as Droidjack for Android.

We would advise our readers to wait for the game developers to announce "Pokémon GO" official India release date. The game is expected to get rolled out sometime this month.
