'Pokemon Go' Cheats, Tips, Tricks: How To Use Eevee Evolution System To Get Jolteon, Vaporeon, Flareon
"Pokemon Go" Eevee evolution system trick could be used to easily get one of the Pokemon's three evolved forms. However, the Eevee evolutions trick only involves changing the names of the player's Eevee.
To get the thunder-type Jolteon, a player has to name their Eevee Sparky. For players who like the water-type Vaporeon, the Pokemon that had to be nerfed in the game, the name should be changed to Eevee Rainer. The last "Pokemon Go" Eevee evolution trick is to change the name to Eevee Pyro for the fire-type Flareon.
The "Pokemon Go" Eevee evolution names came from the Eevee brothers who appeared in one to two episodes of the "Pokemon" anime. Fans of the anime series would know that there are several evolutions for Eevee, but it can only happen once. When the creature has evolved, it will remain in that form permanently, Game N Guide reported.
It seems that "Pokemon Go" will follow the anime's Eevee evolutions system as the aforementioned name trick could only be used once, reportedly. One reason why the name trick is limited to a one time use is to avoid Vaporeon to be overpowered. When the trick was released, players only turned all their Eevee into Vaporeon so they could easily guard and maintain their gyms.
The developers in Niantic are working on fixing the Vaporeon name trick so that it could only be used once while other "Pokemon Go" Eevee evolution would be random. Also, the developers stated that there are more game surprises that can be found. However, this is the only one that affects the "Pokemon Go" Eevee evolution, IGN reported.
The next "Pokemon Go" Eevee evolution update is speculated to be controlled by the game's real-time day and night cycle. The Johto region introduced two more Eeveelutions, Espeon who evolves in the day and Umbreon who evolves at night. It is also speculated to be a bit complicated as their evolutions would require a high level of friendship, resulting from the length of time spent with a player's Eevee.
