Logitech ‘Create’ For iPad Pro 9.7: Is It Better Than Apple Smart Keyboard?
Logitech has reportedly launched its "Create" backlit keyboard case made specifically for Apple's 9.7-inch iPad Pro. Last year it was Apple's 12.9-inch iPad Pro which got a compatible keyboard case from the accessory maker.
Talking about the new Logitech "Create" keyboard case, it has been designed to work exclusively with Apple's new Smart Connector. The keyboard case automatically powers on and pairs with the iPad Pro when a user snaps it into place. It doesn't require pairing with the Bluetooth. The case is 9.8 x 7.0 x 0.9 inches (248 x 178 x 23 mm) in size and weighs just under a pound: 15 oz. (426 g). The keyboard backlights enables the use of the accessory in any lighting condition. The Smart Connector draws power from the iPad and uses it to illuminate the backlit keys, reported MacWorld.
The "Create" features a row of dedicated iOS shortcut keys which enable users to quickly adjust brightness, control media, open a web browser or go back to the home screen. The keyboard case also has a built-in slot that securely holds Apple Pencil and keeps the stylus within easy reach at all times so it is there when one needs it.
"CREATE is like the Swiss Army Knife of keyboard cases," said Michele Hermann, vice president of tablet accessories at Logitech, reported Business Wire. "It puts all the tools you need at your fingertips, and the keyboard charges through the Smart Connector so you can just set your iPad Pro into a typing position and go. It brings typing on the iPad Pro to a whole new level."
According to the Verge, Logitech "Create" for iPad Pro 9.7 is comparatively better than Apple's Smart Keyboard. In terms of pricing, the keyboard case costs $129.99, which is $19 less than Apple's Smart Keyboard which sells for $149. The Logitech "Create" keyboard case is currently available for purchase in in two color options- black and blue- from Logitech or Apple's website.
