Perhaps it is everyone's dream to become a CEO of a reputable Fortune 500 company. But according to a recent interview by The Washington Post to the successor of Steve Jobs and current CEO of Apple, Tim Cook shared his struggles as he took over the vacated CEO post last August of 2011.

Tim Cook told the interviewer stories behind managing arguably one of the most loved consumer electronics brand in America and the world. He said the work load is saturated. Everyone in the team feels the same way. Behind the glaring highly anticipated product launches and Apple's sales success is a hardworking, passionate employee, which includes him. He admitted that even before becoming the CEO he already had a rough time, hiring a wrong person to head Apple retail stores and as CEO when Apple Maps screwed up with glitches.

The pressure of taking over a position who previously handled by a great visionary like Steve Jobs is really over whelming to him so when he was asked what does it feel one of the icons of American business he said "To me, Steve's not replaceable. By anyone.  He was an original of a species. I never viewed that was my role. I think it would have been a treacherous thing if I would have tried to do it." Tim Cook thought that he will temporarily take over the position until Steve Jobs recovery. It was after 6 weeks when the Apple founder died of cancer and several complications.

He said that being the CEO of Apple is rather a lonely job and I quote "It's sort of a lonely job. The adage that it's lonely - the CEO job is lonely - is accurate in a lot of ways. I'm not looking for any sympathy. You have to recognize that you have blind spots. We all do. Blind spots move, and you want to not just have really bright people around you, but people who will push on you and people to bring out the best in you. People that amplify whatever you're good at. And then also the people who plug the parts that you're not and may never be."

The interview also discussed some of the recent news involving Apple like its FBI lawsuit, Apple's initiative to climate change and allegation made in the European Union.
