New reports suggest Samsung's next gen Galaxy S smartphone, possibly dubbed Samsung Galaxy S8, and might come with a brand new Exynoss 8895 processor. What's impressive about the Exynoss 8895 processor is that the chipset is rumored to be faster than Apple's upcoming A10 processor and more powerful than Qualcomm's latest Snapdragon 830 processor.
According to MobiPicker, Samsung's upcoming Exynos 8895 processor could arrive with monstrous working frequency of 4GHz, surpassing the maximum clock speed of Apple's A10 processor and the upcoming Snapdragon 830 chipset. In fact, the use of Exynos 8895 processor is expected to make the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S8 smartphone 30 percent more efficient than the current Galaxy S7 which uses Exynoss 8890 chip. It remains to be seen whether or not the S8 will come with the rumored powerful Exynoss chip.
Recently, Ecumenical News reported that the smartphone maker is planning to ditch the flat screen design in favor of curved screen display in its upcoming smartphones. This means that there are high chances that the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S8 might get rolled out in only curved design variant. Samsung Mobile president Koh Dong-jin said during a recent interview that "Samsung has considered that it would make the edge display as the identity of the Galaxy S smartphone lineup if the company can provide consumers differentiated user experience through software and user-friendly functions (for the curved screen)."
Among other specs, the Samsung Galaxy S8 is expected to feature a 5.5-inch 4K UHD display with a resolution of 3,840 x 2,160 pixels, Exynos 8895 processor or Qualcomm's latest Snapdragon 830 chipset, a massive 6GB of random access memory (RAM). The handset is expected to run the latest OS of Google, Android Nougat. Previous reports suggested that the next gen Galaxy smartphone might come with improved iris scanning technology, a new kind of triple-camera system and a USB Type-C port for reversible, fast charging and quicker data transfers. As far as Samsung Galaxy S8 release date is concerned, the handset is expected to get announced sometime early next year.
